Spend your first year in Sioux Falls, learning side by side with Sioux Falls Family Medicine residents. Gain experience through rotations at a higher-volume referral center, and build your procedural skills and confidence in a state-of-the-art simulation center—all preparing you to care for rural communities.

Daily Noon Conference
Gather with fellow residents and faculty for daily noon conferences that bring learning across specialties together. Along with scheduled conferences and journal clubs, these sessions broaden your knowledge and help you grow as a family physician.
Continuity OB Clinic
At this weekly clinic, you'll care for uninsured and low-income women, building relationships from the first prenatal visit through delivery and postpartum care. You'll take primary responsibility for their care, averaging 13 continuity deliveries in year one and 65 total deliveries across residency.
Annual Resident Retreats
Take a weekend to unwind, enjoy time with fellow residents and your family, and make room for personal growth. You'll be free of patient responsibilities, with a stipend provided to help cover the retreat.
